Diamond Custom Homes Wins Sand Dollar Award

Diamond Custom Homes, a luxury custom home builder based in Naples, garnered a 2013 Sand Dollar Award for Best Kitchen Design by a Builder for its Alessandra model at Grey Oaks during the annual Sand Dollar Awards gala presented by the Collier Building Industry Association (CBIA) Sales and Marketing Council on Saturday, Sept. 28, at the Waldorf-Astoria in Naples. The Sand Dollar Awards are the highest accolades given by the CBIA and are presented each year to member builders, developers, architects, remodelers, interior design firms, landscape architects, trades, marketing, sales and advertising professionals who have demonstrated building, design and marketing excellence

This design of the Alessandra’s kitchen maximizes space—for ease of pantry storage, meal preparation and entertaining. The 42-inch wood cabinets have riser boxes with lit, frosted glass inserts. The Subzero wine cooler and icemaker at the wet bar feature mirrored backsplashes, wine racks and lighted glass inserts. Colonial Gold granite countertops contrast richly with the dark wood wainscot paneling on the island and blend softly with the pale two-tone cabinetry. Other features include a 36-inch downdraft Wolf cooktop with a telescoping ventilation system, a stainless steel double-bowl sink with Kohler spray faucet, Subzero refrigerator, Miele dishwasher and underfoot, wire-brushed French oak floors.
