Building Dreams Foundation’s second annual golf scramble raises over $140,000

The second annual Building Dreams Foundation Golf Scramble, held Thursday, October 26 at Quail West Golf & Country Club, raised more than $140,000 to support local charities focused on improving the lives of underprivileged families through affordable housing and education.

“This year’s golf scramble was a great event with a larger field than last year— an impressive turnout of 28 teams and 112 golfers,” exclaimed Title Sponsor and Diamond Custom Homes President, Michael Diamond. “We’re extremely grateful for this year’s increased sponsorship and participation, as we create hope for families in need throughout southwest Florida.”

Established in March 2020, the Building Dreams Foundation was founded by Jeff Benham and Michael Diamond of Diamond Custom Homes. To date, proceeds from the tournament have benefited numerous local organizations including the Southwest Florida Emergency Relief Fund through United Way, Habitat for Humanity of Collier County, Harry Chapin Food Bank of Southwest Florida, The Shelter for Abused Women & Children, STARability Foundation, and others.
